Power and Performance
The GR Corolla's 1.6-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine generates 300 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. This power output is the same as the 2024 model, but the torque has increased from 273 to 295 pound-feet, making it similar to the Morizo Edition model. This upgrade further improves its performance.
Automatic Transmission
Toyota has introduced a new eight-speed automatic transmission for the GR Corolla. This is not the same gearbox used in the GR Supra and GR86. It uses advanced software that analyzes pedal inputs to shift at the right time. It's a great option for drivers who don't want to shift gears manually.
Mechanical Upgrades
The 2025 GR Corolla also features several mechanical upgrades:
- Front and rear rebound springs: To keep the inner wheel lift under control.
- Rear suspension tweak: To improve handling during cornering.
- Trailing arm mounting points: To reduce rear squat during heavy acceleration.
Limited-slip differential
Every 2025 GR Corolla comes standard with a front and rear limited-slip differential. In 2024, this feature was available in the optional Performance Package on the base trim, but it's now made standard on all models.
Visual Upgrades
Visual upgrades include a radiator, intercooler, brake duct, and transmission fluid cooler. A transmission fluid cooler comes standard when choosing the eight-speed automatic. Premium Plus models include features such as a carbon fiber roof panel, a hood with functional vents, and flat black-finish wheels.

The 2025 GR Corolla will be available in three trim levels:
- Core
- Premium
- Premium Plus
Availability and Pricing
The 2025 Toyota GR Corolla will hit showrooms in late 2024. Pricing will be announced closer to the on-sale date. Each purchase will include a free one-year membership to the National Auto Sport Association and a free one-day performance driving event.
