The exterior styling of this special edition includes several features such as vinyl decals on both sides, anthracite grey exterior accents, and a special 'Turbo 50' emblem on the engine cover. This is the first time the 911 Turbo is offered in the 'Turbonite' color, available only for the Turbo model. In addition, the exclusive design of center-locking wheels further enhances the exterior beauty of this car.
On the inside, the cabin of the 911 Turbo 50 Years has several unique elements. LED puddle lights project an image of a turbocharger on the ground when the doors are opened. With Mackenzie tartan upholstery and the 'Turbo 50' logo, the cabin has a historic feel. With the special Heritage Design package, customers can opt for Aventurine Green metallic paint, or get a unique color from Porsche's paint-to-sample program.
Technology-wise, the 911 Turbo 50 Years is powered by a powerful 3.7-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, just like the Turbo S, that produces 640 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. The car accelerates to 62 mph in just 2.7 seconds and reaches 124 mph in 8.9 seconds.
Safety and comfort-wise, the car includes features like a sports exhaust system, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), and carbon-ceramic brakes.
The production number of this special edition is limited to just 1,974 units, and the price has not been announced yet, but it will definitely be in the premium segment. As an added treat for car lovers, Porsche Design is also releasing a 911 Turbo 50 Years-themed watch, which will also be limited to 1,974 units.
With this new limited-edition 911 Turbo from Porsche, car lovers will get to experience the perfect blend of 1974 heritage and modern technology, making it a unique and special experience.
