Nilu27, founded by Sasha Selipanov, is a name that is set to take the automotive industry by storm. Nilu27’s name is inspired by the Formula 1 racing cars of the 1960s and the legacy of Italian design.
Nilu27’s hypercar is equipped with a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine, manufactured by Hartley Engines in New Zealand. Without electrification and turbochargers, the engine produces over 1,000 horsepower. Its large bore and short stroke make it a rev-happy engine that emulates the madness of racing cars without any modern technology.
The design of the Nilu27 is extremely impressive. The car uses a custom carbon fiber monocoque with a lightweight aluminum subframe. Its tubular design not only increases the strength of the car but also dissipates the powertrain heat well. 3D-printed Inconel exhaust components can withstand heat and stress, while Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes make the car's performance capabilities superb.
The interiors of this car are also unique. The gated shifter and racing seats with harnesses give it a sporty and exciting feel. The center-mounted tachometer and three-spoke steering wheel, which bears only the Nilu logo, make the interior of the car feel classic and nostalgic. Furthermore, the rearview camera mirror is the only screen, which maintains the old-school aesthetic.
Nilu27 has planned a limited launch. Only 15 units will be made in the initial run, while a total of 54 units will be built in the future, including four one-off designs. Built by Aria Group in Irvine, California, the car marks the company’s dream of an international presence.
