Acura has teased its new performance electric vehicle during Monterey Car Week, which has created a stir among automobile lovers. Acura's premium subsidiary has not revealed any details about this upcoming "next generation" concept, but the teaser photo has raised expectations even more.

Acura claims that this new sport utility vehicle (SUV) will be "segment-defying". However, the design seen in the teaser makes it difficult to understand what the actual shape of the vehicle will be. Still, it is clearly not a simple variant of the existing ZDX model.

The company has announced that this concept vehicle will be based on their new dedicated EV platform, which is being developed in Ohio. This platform is different from Honda's current EV architecture, which is shared with General Motors.

Vehicles based on this new platform could be an important step towards migrating to Honda's upcoming "0 Series" platform, which will bring about a significant change in the way mainstream electric vehicles are made in the future.

This new model from Acura could be more than just a vehicle but a glimpse of future electric technology and design. Wait for more information during Monterey Car Week and see if Acura sets a new benchmark with its unique design and performance.
