Trims and prices of the new K4:
- LX: $23,145
- LXS: $24,145
- EX: $25,145
- GT-Line: $26,345
- GT-Line Turbo: $29,245
The LX model of the K4 starts at $23,145, including a $1,155 destination charge. This price is $2,000 more than the Forte LX. The other trims have also seen a price hike; The LXS trim gets a $1,500 hike, while the GT-Line Turbo gets a $3,400 hike.
The new K4 gets a few changes to make it physically bigger and offer a better driving experience. However, cargo space may see a slight reduction. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, along with an unspecified driver assistance system.
One notable thing is that apart from the turbocharged variant of the K4, the multi-link rear suspension is now included in all versions. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is naturally aspirated and comes only with a CVT, while the turbocharged 1.6-liter engine gets an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Features Expectations:
While Kia hasn't revealed the full details of the K4's standard features, expect these new models to be more advanced and comfortable than before.
The LX, LXS and EX trims will go on sale in September, while the GT-Line will be available in November and the GT-Line Turbo early next year.
