The attraction of the pop-up spy room
This pop-up spy room offers a glimpse into the world of "Q", the head of top-secret technology inventions in the Bond films. The venue will be open to the public until August 4. To access this secret space, visitors enter through a door disguised as a magazine newsstand at the Burlington Arcade. Upon entering, they'll find a speakeasy bar serving Bollinger Champagne and a display of Aston Martin technical drawings and parts on the walls.

The DB5, which was launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show just months before the film's release, gained a cult following thanks to its starring roles in films such as "Goldfinger" and "Thunderball." The car was one of the greats of the time with its powerful 4.0-liter engine and top speed of over 150 mph. The car was designed by Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, who actually adorned it with a Superleggera badge.

Aston Martin and James Bond: A unique connection
Explaining the significance of the event, Marco Mattiacci, Global Chief Brand and Commercial Officer, Aston Martin, said: “Aston Martin and James Bond are two British icons who are forever linked. We are delighted to celebrate this important 60th anniversary in 2024, marking the continuation of cinema’s longest-running and most successful product placement.”

The Pop-Up Spy Room event is a unique opportunity not only for Bond fans but also for car and cinema lovers. These types of events make us realise that icons like James Bond and Aston Martin will live in our memories forever.
