The new headlights introduced in February 2024 now not only give strong light but also control glare, earning them a "Good" rating. This is a significant hardware change, so EV9 models made before February 2024 will not receive this award.
Additionally, the EV9 has also received "Good" ratings in other safety tests, including small and medium overlap tests, updated side impact tests, forward crash prevention, seat belt reminders, and child seat anchor access.
However, the EV9 has not yet received a Top Safety Pick+ award because the IIHS has not yet performed its updated moderate overlap crash test. Wait for the results of additional tests and see the even higher standards of this excellent SUV.
