GX Monogram: A Culinary Experience on Wheels from Lexus

The GX Monogram: Lexus' ultimate culinary experience on wheels, offering a unique lifestyle experience to visitors of the Food & Wine Classic in the hills of Aspen.

Lexus GX Monogram

As summer settles into the hills of Aspen, Lexus is celebrating the mountain lifestyle in its own unique way. Lexus' latest special edition, the GX Monogram, is not a traditional SUV but a "culinary experience on wheels." The vehicle was designed in collaboration with American appliance manufacturer Monogram and offers visitors of the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen a luxurious and delicious experience.

A Luxurious Experience Inside

As soon as you step inside the GX Monogram, you're greeted by a cutting-edge design and the finest materials. The interior, finished in black and quilted camel leather, is divided into four separate seating areas with high-quality accents such as brass, titanium, and Dekton slate. There's a cooled drawer for rear occupants and a console compartment that "offers flexible cooling" so your contents will always stay fresh.

But that's just the beginning. Between the rear seats, Monogram's $1,500 heated ice press is installed, which makes clear and transparent ice balls that pair perfectly with your favorite beverage. This brilliant combination transforms the vehicle into a moving lounge, not just a vehicle for commuting.

Unique Exterior

As you step into the rear of the GX Monogram, you're greeted by a unique bar setup. Instead of a tailgate, there are barn doors that come with various bartending tools and cooking accessories. The left door houses a shaker, decanter, and cutting board, while the right door houses a pizza peel and a roll of kitchen tools.

In the middle, there's Monogram's 30-inch Smart Flush Hearth Oven. This oven is designed to "capture the performance of a wood-fired brick oven to prepare pizzas, soft artisan pieces of bread, or freshly caught roasted branzino." Although branzino is unlikely to be found in Aspen, this oven can do a fine job with trout found in the region's rivers. Plus, useful items like cutlery and trash cans are hidden in various cubbies, making your culinary experience even better.

Can you attend?

If you can't attend this special event but want to enjoy it at home, Food & Wine has posted the weekend's recipes and wine list. Whip up some shakshuka with eggplant and peppers, then head to your nearest Lexus dealer and ask their salesman to let you know about the "Monogram by Lexus" program, which makes the purchasing experience faster and easier for potential buyers. And of course, don't forget to ask for a glass of the 2016 Pierre Mergie Les Vignes Franches Beaune 1er Cru while you're there.

The GX Monogram is not only a showstopper at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, but it also showcases how Lexus designs its vehicles to offer a great lifestyle experience. Whether you're driving down hilly roads or enjoying an open-air culinary experience, this vehicle makes every occasion great.
