More Power, More Control
The new 2025 M2 features BMW's renowned 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six engine, but this time it's been made more powerful. With a manual transmission, it now produces 473 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, an increase of 20 horsepower over the previous model. With an eight-speed automatic transmission, outputs increase even more to 473 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque, making this option even more attractive than before.
With this added power, both transmission variants of the M2 see their 0-60 mph times reduced by 0.1 seconds – the manual in 4.1 seconds and the automatic in 3.9 seconds. BMW has also refined the throttle mapping and response, allowing for an even more intense acceleration experience.
New Shades and Styles
The exterior design of the 2025 M2 has also undergone notable changes. BMW has offered it with an expanded colours palette that includes colours such as Java Green Metallic, Voodoo Blue, Grigio Telesto Pearl Effect Metallic, Twilight Purple Pearl Effect Metallic, Sao Paulo Yellow, Vegas Red Metallic, Portimao Blue Metallic, and Skyscraper Grey Metallic.
Black and two-tone wheel options are now also available, along with new bright silver finished wheels. Black badging with a silver border and black exhaust tips are included as standard, further enhancing the car's aggressive appeal.
Highest comfort and style in the interior
On the inside, BMW has included a new flat-bottom steering wheel that is available in leather or Alcantara and comes with a heating option. A new black Vernasca leather seat option, with red highlights, adds a touch of flair to the interior of this car. Traditional M Carbon bucket seats are still available as an option, which can be selected as part of the Carbon package or as a standalone option.
The center console has also been changed, including new adjustment controls for the air vents and M Fine Brushed Aluminum standard trim.
Future driving with modern technology
On the technology front, the 2025 M2 comes with BMW's iDrive 8.5, which upgrades iDrive 8 in previous M2s. The new system takes navigation to new heights with an enhanced view in the form of Live Cockpit Professional, which includes the projection of animated arrows onto the road via the camera feed.
Pricing and Availability
With all these great updates, the 2025 M2 has a base price of $66,075, including a $1,175 destination charge. This is $1,880 more than the previous model, but considering the improvements made to the performance and features, the hike seems more than justified. BMW estimates that the updated M2 will go on sale in August.
Conclusion
With new colors, increased power, and advanced technology, the 2025 BMW M2 is a great offering for car enthusiasts. Whether you are a speed freak or a style freak, this M2 will not disappoint you. Riding this car will not be just a drive, but an experience.
